Let’s understand the implications of the vocabulary that is used so casually for women! 🗣️ “Objectification” literally means turning someone into an object. Once you reduce someone to an “object”, where you can “put a price” or “set a value” on them, in your head they are no longer human beings. Meaning they no longer have the same range of emotions, rights or intelligence as human beings, and therefore any violence or abuse against them means nothing, they are of course...an object. And this belief of yours, that you have the right to turn women into objects, this entitlement, is the start of so much sexual violence. The thought that when you want a woman you can just have her, if she says no you make her into a “low value object” who you can treat in whichever way you want. As I said, enough shit! I can’t believe that in 2024 we are still explaining the idea of CONSENT!!! Consent is not just about “asking”. You can’t just say I asked, now I should just automatically get it. Consent can change at any point, consent goes both ways, consent is the foundation of all interactions
