In today’s video I’m going to be taking you through a few of the best indoor team building games for your next office get-together.

0:00 Intro
0:16 Ring Toss
0:55 Indoor Fort Building
1:35 The Floor Is Lava
2:15 Pirate’s Treasure
3:03 Team Trivia

Our first teambuilding game is Ring Toss, a super simple, yet strangely addictive game. Played in small teams, you’ll start by standing at a set distance away from a target, usually a vertical pole stuck into the ground. Then, you’ll take turns tossing rings at the target. If the ring successfully hooks onto the pole, your team scores a point. Play for a set number of throws or until one team reaches a specific score.

Want to make things more interesting? Have multiple targets set up around the office, some easy and some more challenging!

Our second game is indoor fort building, and if you’re thinking, that sounds a little juvenile — it’s because it is! But that’s also kind of the point. Fort building is fun, silly, creative and a perfect antidote to the usual stress and responsibilities of the work day.

To play, get everyone to bring in things like bed sheets, cardboard boxes, and string. Divide the group into two or three teams and give them 30-minutes to construct the best possible fort! Then have each team present what they’ve built to the judges and have the judges declare a winner.

Our next game is light-hearted and more than a little bit silly — it’s called The Floor Is Lava, and it's guaranteed to level-up your team’s collaboration and problem-solving skills.

The idea is simple. Break your team into two groups and challenge them to take turns crossing the room together without touching the floor. Players must not stand still, constantly moving from one piece of furniture (like a pillow on the ground) to another. While one group attempts the crossing, the other can try to sabotage their efforts – removing items that they use as stepping stones or placing obstacles in their way!

Next up, we have Pirate’s Treasure, a teambuilding game that will push your employee’s sneaking skills to the limit. To prepare, have players form a circle, facing inwards, and place a chair in the center with an object underneath it.

Request a volunteer and ask them to sit on the chair with a blindfold on. The players (now pirates) will slowly begin to walk in a circle around the chair. Once they stop, they’ll silently pick one person to attempt to steal the object. If the player manages to make the steal without being detected they win the game. However, if the volunteer hears the pirate approaching and points at them, that player is eliminated and play starts again.

And finally, the last teambuilding game I have for you today is a fun twist on a pub night classic, Team Trivia! Team Trivia is a fun and simple way to test the waters on how well your teammates know one another.

Before you play, compile a list of interesting facts about your employees. The easiest way to do this is to send out a survey that's designed to extract as many cool facts as possible.

Once you’ve got your questions, bring your team together and either individually or in small groups, have them answer each question, noting their responses on a sheet of paper. Once they've answered all the questions, tally up the scores. The player or team with the most points wins.

There you go! Feel free to use one or more of these indoor game ideas for your next team building event. Let us know in the comments below which game was your favorite!
