Long time no English cover... Hiya. And the birthday cover tradition returns. Funny to think the first time I made a birthday cover it was for when I turned 18, now I'm 23. Wow.
I guess this means my hiatus is over. At the very least I'll try and make sure my next cover doesn't take two years LOL. Depends on how busy my life is (I had a lot of bad luck in unfortunate events in my life these past two years), but I'm happy to be back.
I think I've changed a lot since I last posted an English cover... One big way is that my Japanese ability rapidly improved in that time frame since I started taking studying more seriously. So from now on my goal is to translate things myself before I cover them... I might reference other people's translations from time to time still, but I'm at the point where I feel like I can understand them myself fairly well.
Anyway, I love this song. I always have. Actually, my Dad-- of the Vocaloid he knows, which he does know because my younger sister and I are both massive fans-- he's always said this is his favorite song, so I'm glad I could cover it. It's an incredibly difficult song to sing given how long you're expected to hold out all these high notes, but Akiakane's cover (and PV) was really special to me in high school, so I was like "hell if I don't at least try to cover this before I die". LOL.
Well, see you next time. Hopefully that'll be sooner than later!

今思いついたのですが日本語を喋る人にメッセージも書きたいと思います。いつも私を応援してありがとうございます。英語で歌ってみたカバーはフォーカスなのですけど、最近日本語がかなり上達しているしもっとボカロ曲をその原語で歌ってみたいなあと思います。今後は１〜２「英語で歌ってみた」を投稿するごとに、英語ではなく「歌ってみた」も投稿したいと思います。実はそれはたくさん不安を持っているところですが… アメリカなまりが明らかすぎるかなとか本当にうまくできるかなとか頭の中でぐるぐる回っているのですが、その余計な不安を捨ててやってみるといいと思います。では、次の曲までお楽しみに！
