The Electric Company belongs to Sesame Workshop.

You may have noticed that I changed the name of my channel. Why is this, you ask? Well, I’m a bit angry about how little attention the show is getting by Sesame Workshop. Plus, it’s not very likely that Sesame Workshop will do anything about it in the future. A DVD box set or something like that would be nice, but what with all the copyright restrictions and controversy against certain actors (cough cough Bill Cosby cough cough), it’s very likely that the majority of The Electric Company will remain nothing but memories of those who were lucky enough to watch it while it lasted.

And even though we have over 100 episodes of the show available to us right now, and that’s a lot, I still don’t like how some topics (short I, the EA sound, end punctuation) get a lot of attention while others (DR, SL, MP) hardly ever pop up. And there are some things the show just doesn’t teach - the TW blend, the AW and AU sounds, other ways to make the long U sound like EW and UI. So as much as I like this show, it’s very incomplete, and new episodes don’t pop up very often.

So I’m taking matters into my own hands and making my channel the unofficial Electric Company archive! If you want full episodes of the old and new incarnations of the show, plus other rarities like podcasts and cast member interviews, then this is the place to go! I also have an Electric Company Wiki in the works that you’re free to visit and edit. Link in the comments below.

Lastly, I have someone I’d like to thank. Indeterminate Origin, thank you so so much for contributing your Electric Company episodes and for your petition to get the show back on TV with a complete, unedited DVD box set. I’m so glad there are others out there who love the show and are working hard to get it back into the public eye! Thanks a bunch!

By the way, since this is the Noggin version of the show, three minutes' worth of sketches were cut for time. I've learned not to expect anything new from Electric Company anytime soon, so if I were to add some sketches in to help it reach the 28-minute mark, those sketches would be:

Scanimate: shiny
Cartoon: Sharp shiny shoes
Scanimate: crazy
Film: Rita on the Run "Ice Cream"
Cast song: "A Pitcher We Know"
Cartoon: A "grow" grows on vines
Cast skit: Skip and Morgan play Simon Says
