It was Caleb's 18th birthday,
It was Caleb's 18th birthday, and we had a jam-packed day starting at 7 a.m. with an amazing local breakfast of freshly made börek, followed by a walk around the neighbourhood of Beyoğlu.
We then spent the rest of the day visiting sites like Galata Tower, The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, German Fountain, Blue Mosque, Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpent Column , Walled Obelisk, Hagia Sophia, and more.
The day was also packed with more amazing food like the San Sebastián cheesecake at Viyana Kahvesi, grilled meatballs at Sultanahmet Koftecisi, Turkish Delights, Turkish ice-cream, and more.
We ended the day with a Turkish Bath at an old traditional hammam constructed in 1481 before catching a 9-hour night bus to our next destination – Sofia, Bulgaria.
