Sony A77ii review

Thanks for watching. I am just sharing what I have discovered so far about my new Sony A77ii. This camera seems to have a load of features and amazing capabilities but there is very little information on how to use it. I could be wrong about some things so please feel free to contribute constructive comments below. I did one review and at least one person liked it so I am re-making the video with additional information.

Background - I grew up with a Canon AE-1 and then EOS 600 (European version of EOS 620 I believe). I still have a Canon Powershot Pro1 in my bag. I love Canon and film photography but I was no longer able to get my film developed reliably any more and Canon has stopped innovating. After losing yet another 7 rolls of Fuji REALLA to a trusted camera store I did a lot of research and the Sony A77 had everything I was looking for. Thank you Sony experimenting and trying new technology while Canon and Nikon rest on their laurels.

I am not aware of any other camera that can simultaneously do full time live view with image based object tracking linked to 79 full time Phase Detect AF sensors, all with In Body Image Stabilization and In Body focus limiter, zebras, AND capture 24 mega pixel images in both JPEG and RAW at 12 frames per second while performing all of the above. Plus it has focus peaking and is weather sealed.

I forgot to add 1 more thing about the flash system. The built-in flash has a sync speed of 1/250s. It is not capable of High Speed Sync. That is actually a good thing. because it allows you to either include the on-camera flash in the image exposure by setting the exposre to 1/250 or slower, or you can exclude the effect of the on-camera flash and still use it to trigger the other wireless flashes by setting the shutter speed above 1/250s.
