Helldivers 2 - how to be a “guard dog” whisperer

Helldivers 2 has a lot of fun backpacks to take with you, but there's one that I rarely see being used, which is the liberator guard dog. It's strong, effective, and if you manage your resupply calls well, it can have a lot of uptime just like the rover guard dog.

17:30 - 18:05 CORRECTION: Resupplying the guard dog when the game came out would only replenish 50%. The update to the guard dog's resupply made it so all 6 reserve magazines would be replenished. I misread the patch notes and misunderstood the guard dog resupply as a new feature rather than an adjustment.
