Safety signs can provide information about hazards and resources which exist within a specific working environment. Through the use  colour and symbols the signs are able to make workers aware of hazards or any safety measures that are contained within the environment.

Green - Safety
Highlights to individuals areas and equipment related to safety,  such as emergency exits and first aid resources. Green signs are meant to draw people to a location in the event of an emergency.

Red - Fire
Indicates that there is a fire hazard associated with materials or equipment. A diamond sign warns of fire hazards, whereas a rectangular sign can indicate fire safety equipment such as fire blankets and extinguishers.

Blue - Mandatory / Obey
Highlights to workers the requirement of mandatory PPE to be worn within work environments. Blue signs may indicate the requirement for workers to wear goggles, ear muffs or masks within an environment.  

Yellow - Warning
Yellow signs warn of a hazard which exists within an environment. Different symbols on the signs are used to indicate hazards such as electrical, chemical or  mechanical hazards within a workplace.

Prohibition Signs
Prohibition signs indicate the individuals, specific equipment or  materials should not enter an environment.  Symbols on these signs might include a person, mobile phone, cigarettes, a turning direction or an electric fence.
