Nonlinearity in FEA can be
Nonlinearity in FEA can be present in form of
1. Material Nonlinearity:
a. Plasticity: Ductile material show plastic deformation beyond yield
b. Nonlinear Elasticity (Hyper elasticity): Polymers such as foam and rubbers show nonlinear elastic behavior under tension and compression.
2. Geometry Nonlinearity (Large Deformation) such as finite strain case.
3. Boundary Condition Nonlinearity such as contact problem
4. Follower Force such as force on members in mechanism
