Jai Shree Ram! Jai Hanuman!
Jai Shree Ram! Jai Hanuman! With the blessings of the divine forces, my gurus and well-wishers, Jagadanandakaraka is a project I passionately undertook, with lot of devotion, during the summer of 2023. I handpicked students to learn this masterpiece, in which the composer, Saint Thyagaraja Swamy, incorporates Lord Rama’s 108 names and extols him.
While this project should have come out in the Fall, it got pushed to December and then to January 2024, due to unforeseen circumstances. God chose the timing appropriately such that it is close to the consecration of Rama’s idols at Ayodhya. I consider this a divine calling and offer this humbly at his feet with lot of devotion. Countless hours were spent in understanding the lyrics, documenting the pronunciation and splitting the words correctly, to the best of our efforts, after consulting deeply with my gurus Vid. Shri K.N. Shashikiran and Vid. Chitravina Shri P. Ganesh, and also referring to several lectures and articles related to this composition. The children and adult students I have featured have taken immense efforts in understanding the meaning and learning this sincerely and one of them even traveled from Ohio to Dallas to be a part of this project. We, the Carnatica Gurukul family from Dallas, offer this humbly at the holy feet of Lord Rama and take pride in our culture and arts, although we reside on this side of the globe. Jai Shree Ram!

Prithi Narasimhan is a senior disciple of Vidwan Shri K.N. Shashikiran and Vidwan Chitravina Shri P. Ganesh of the popular Carnatica Brothers duo. She is a popular classical vocalist and educator, based in Dallas, Texas, USA. She is the Founder and Director of director of Carnatica USA, INDUS Fine Arts Conservatory and Carnatica Gurukul, Dallas.
Shruthi Ganesh is performing young disciple of Kalaimamani Vid. Shri K.N.Shashikiran and the daughter of Smt. Prithi Narasimhan. She has been under the tutelage of Vid. Shri K.N.Shashikiran since the tender age of 4 and is continuing to receive advanced training from him, who has taught her several varnams, krithis, voice culture and improvisation techniques, and RTPs. She is also mentored by Vid Chitravina Ganesh and is a disciple of Vid. Shri B.V. Raghavendra Rao on the violin.
