Progress is good! Three model years into its production run, Triumph had to update the Speed Twin to meet Euro5 regulations, and they used the opportunity to make some performance upgrades as well. At first, I thought it made no sense for Triumph to double down on the torque delivery and braking, which were already excellent, without also offering a premium adjustable suspension. However, if you take the new Speed Twin for what it is, and not what you think it should have been, you'll find that it's still arguably the best retro bike on the market.
