Solo camping & Mining trip at Ruby Mountain is something you’ll be glad you took time to go experience. Ruby Mountain has really clean camp sites for a small fee each night. Ruby Mountain was discovered in the late 1800’s. Over one hundred years people have been collecting Obsidians, Garnets, and even Yellow Topaz.

 Some gems discovered at Ruby Mountain are Museum Quaility. The Perlite is a volcanic material that formed Obsidians that are Translucent. Grade A Deep Red Garnets can also be found in the Rhyolite, as well as Yellow Topaz.
