Lubao is a 1st class municipality in the province of Pampanga, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 173,502 people.
Located in the south-western part of Pampanga, Lubao is bounded by the municipalities of Sasmuan on the east, Guagua on the north-east, Floridablanca on the north and Hermosa, Bataan, on the south.

The town's name is derived from the Kapampangan word "lubaw," which means "open space."
Lubao is known for its annual Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival, which started in 2014 and has since become a major tourist attraction in the province.
The town is also home to the historic Lubao Church (also known as San Agustin Church), which was built in the 17th century and is considered one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.
Lubao is also known for its culinary delicacies, such as the Betute or stuffed frogs, which is a unique delicacy that is rarely found elsewhere, and the sweet rice cake called Tibok-tibok.
The town's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with rice, sugarcane, and fish being the major products.
Lubao is composed of 44 barangays or villages, each with its own distinct culture and traditions.
Some notable personalities who hail from Lubao include former Philippine president Diosdado Macapagal and his daughter, former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
