Japan Van Life Ch 17 - our most challenging (and dangerous) hike yet.
After a 7 hour hike to see the beautiful autumn foliage at the Karasawa Cirque in Kamikochi, Nagano, sleeping on rocks at 2,310m up in the air, and eating a life-restoring instant ramen meal, we’re setting out on the final leg of our epic adventure of this beautiful mountain range. But we’re not just heading straight back down the mountain, we’re hiking the Panorama Course for the most spectacular views of the Japanese alps and Mt. Fuji, and with sheer drops and craggy rocks, what could go wrong?? This is by far our most physically and mentally challenging hike yet, not to mention the most scary!! 😬
