But do you know its secret? It's so good that you could eat it by the spoonful straight from the bowl! 🥄 And if you want to impress, try pairing it with a fresh fruit salad. I assure you that you'll make a great impression on all your guests! 🍓🍑🍎 But the best part? Preparing lump-free pastry cream is super easy! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 With just a few ingredients, you can create this wonder in no time. Why is this recipe special? - Super easy to prepare: just a few ingredients and in no time you'll have the perfect pastry cream! ‍‍ - Genuine ingredients: only flour, milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla for an authentic and irresistible taste. - Endless versatility: perfect for filling cakes, tarts, cream puffs, cannoli, and many other desserts. ✅ Ingredients - 50 g of granulated sugar - One bourbon vanilla bean - 200 ml of whole milk (or soy, rice, or almond milk) - 2 egg yolks - 30 g of all-purpose flour (or cornstarch) ✅ Preparation 1. Cut the top part of the vanilla bean lengthwise and extract the seeds. Keep the vanilla bean because, even without the seeds, it will still impart a lot of aroma when simmered in the milk you will use later. 2. Mix the extracted seeds with the sugar. 3. In a saucepan, heat the milk over low heat with the vanilla bean until it almost boils, stirring occasionally. 4. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the egg yolks and sugar; using a whisk, mix well until you get a creamy mixture. 5. Sift the flour (or cornstarch) directly into the bowl with the eggs, gradually adding it to avoid the formation of lumps. Stir to achieve a creamy and smooth consistency. 6. As soon as the milk is about to boil, remove the vanilla bean. Pour the milk into the bowl with the eggs slowly, constantly stirring with the whisk. 7. Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan, return to the stove, and stir constantly over low heat until the cream thickens. 8. Transfer the cream to a bowl and cover with cling film in direct contact with the cream to prevent surface oxidation. 9. Let the cream cool completely in the refrigerator before using. ✅ Tips: - For an even more flavorful cream, you can use high-quality fresh milk. - If you don't have a vanilla bean, you can use a teaspoon of vanilla extract. - To avoid lumps, it's important to sift the flour before adding it to the mixture. - Cook the cream over low heat and stir continuously to avoid lumps. - Pastry cream can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
