For those who have to pay their own health insurance premiums, the cost is high. The Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare has helped provide government subsidies for high health insurance premiums. This video explains how a new government program can lower health insurance premiums all the way to zero for the millions of people who qualify.

Many seniors get health insurance through their jobs, while millions of others rely on Medicare and Medicaid. But what if you’re unemployed, or your job doesn’t offer health insurance, and you’re too young for Medicare? Thanks to a new government program, you may qualify to get health insurance for free.
When the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare was signed into law in 2010, one of the complaints was that the health insurance premiums were too high. Government subsidies helped the poor, but many middle-class people still got sticker shock from Obamacare.
But the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package President Joe Biden signed into law changed things for the better. The American Rescue Plan Act that brought many Americans $1,400 stimulus checks also brought the cost of health insurance down to zero for millions of Americans, including seniors. Surprisingly, few people know about this.
These zero-premium health care plans just became available July 1, and you have to apply by August 15, 2021. The video explains who qualifies for these low-cost or free health plans and how to apply for them.
