The Ocucor augment Sentient Surge is absolutely insane. It increases the eDPS of the weapon by 3.5x. It brings it into the meta space, outperforming Kuva Nukor, Tenet Cycron, Gaze, and the likes. If anything, it feels a lot like Torid Incarnon. Absurd hit range on the Tendrils, auto-aim, minimal damage loss on tendrils, crazy amounts of burns, and instant enemy swap on kill without relying on chaining.
If you are using Arcane Velocity, the flex slot will be Primed Target Cracker. If you aren't using any source of fire rate buffs, be it arcane or frame, then you will slot Lethal Torrent instead. This is because multishot double dips on beams. It both boosts the damage a tick does, and the heat DoT dps.
Do not use Secondary Encumber on beam DPS. Primer DPS is fine. But not beam DPS. This is because multishot does not increase number of ticks on beams, rather, it only multiplies the damage a tick does. Secondary Encumber can only proc once per damage tick, irrespective of how many statuses the tick made, meaning Secondary Encumber ignores multishot on beams. This is not an issue on normal weapons, where multishot does actually cause separate new hits of the weapon.
