While celebrating her birthday, Luz (Sylvia Sanchez) cannot help but feel sad as she remembers her late son, Jack (Andrez del Rosario). Aware of what Luz is feeling, Fernan (Joey Marquez) tries his best to serve as his wife’s pillar of strength. Meanwhile, Chico (JM de Guzman) organizes a fun swimming party for the Mabungas to celebrate Luz’s birthday. However, Chico notices his mother’s dejected mood. In hopes of giving something Luz can smile about during her special day, He attempts to make peace with Beri (Kiko Estrada) in hopes of giving something Luz can smile about during her special day.
Sticking together in times of difficulties, the Mabunga family holds a funeral for Jose (Noel Trinidad). As she continues to mourn his death, Caring (Perla Bautista) reveres Jose for being a great husband and father. While making preparations, Chico (JM de Guzman) discovers something about Fernan's friend Loi. Scared to confront his suspicions, Chico opts to investigate more deeply on his father and his mysterious friend. Later, an unexpected visitor attends Jose's wake.
The Mabunga family brings Jose (Noel Trinidad) to his final resting place. Without his grandfather by his side, Chico (JM de Guzman) struggles to figure out what he should do about Fernan’s (Joey Marquez) secret affair. Meanwhile, Fernan tries to convince Luz (Sylvia Sanchez) to let him work abroad again. Worried that his father will continue to cheat on Luz, Chico decides to confront Fernan, worried that his father will continue to cheat on Luz. However, he realizes that his actions put his father’s life in danger.
