Everything you need to know about setting up and using a Fiddle Block / 5:1 mechanical advantage hauling system for tree work. I put together 6 different systems and tested them all to see how much pull I could generate, and what their efficiency ratings were.

Here's the final efficiency ratings:
Unit 1: CMI 2" Double Pulleys - 4.90 : 1
Unit 2: SMC AdvanceTech HX - 4.39 : 1
Unit 3: WesSpur Set of Fours - 4.24 : 1
Unit 4: Shaefer Marine Fiddle Block - 4.23 : 1
Unit 5: CMI 2" with Pinto - 4.54 : 1
Unit 6: Frankenstein - 4.33 : 1
