My dad barged into my room. He was holding something that looked like a bird cage. “Give me your phone!” he roared.
“What’s going on, Dad?” I asked, shocked.
He opened his palm. “Annie, I said give me your phone! It’s time you learned a lesson.”
I handed him my phone. He took and placed it inside the cage. Then he went on to put a padlock on the cage door and lock my phone inside.
“I’m not taking your phone away from you. It’ll be here, right in front of your eyes. But you won’t be able to use it. You can only watch it from a distance. I hope it’s a good lesson for you and you’ll stay away from that trash site called TikTok,” he said, smirking.
My mom appeared at my door. “Walter, I’m sick and tired of your lessons! I know you’ve never even seen Annie’s TikTok page. She shares wonderful videos there. I don’t know why you want to stop her from doing that!”
