i9 14900k vs i7 14700k vs i5 14600k - INTEL 14TH GEN BENCHMARKS

Is the i9-14900K, i7-14700K or the i5-14600K worth upgrading to? Lets go over the new CPUs from intel

All of the new 14th generation cpus are great across the board, but there are some bad things that I want to mention after we go over the good
So, what's new with Raptor Lake?
Intel has increased the core counts on all of the CPUs in the lineup. The i9-14900K now has 16 cores and 24 threads, the i7-14700K has 12 cores and 20 threads, and the i5-14600K has 6 cores and 12 threads.
Intel has also made some other improvements to the Raptor Lake architecture, such as having wifi 7, thunderbolt 5 support, higher clock speeds, improved cache performance, and better support for DDR5 memory.
So, how do the new 14th Gen Core CPUs perform? Well, in short, they're very fast. The i9-14900K is the fastest CPU on the market, and it can handle anything you throw at it. The i7-14700K and the i5-14600K are also very fast CPUs, and they're a great choice for gamers, streamers, and content creators.
The 14600 & 14700 definately being the 2 CPU's that I see as the best value considering the jump in performance. Which is something i loved about the i3 13100. That was the first time an i3 CPU was something I would actually recommend to gamers builing a lower end rig.
As far as the bad stuff. I know a lot of people are throwing stones at Intel right now, but hopping off that train and looking at it from a different perspective leaving the drama aside. The only con for the new cpus would be for current 13th gen owners, and that is just because there is not a reason to upgrade unless you have anything less than a i5 13400.
But to be fair, anytime you get a lower end chip, this applies to gpus, motherboard & all kinds of stuff. If its a lower end product, you will need to upgrade that sooner, the higher end stuff is meant to future proof you.
All of the benchmarks will have been on screen for you all. But As you could see, the i9-14900K is the fastest CPU in all of the benchmarks. The i7-14700K is also very fast, and it's only slightly slower than the i9-14900K. The i5-14600K is a bit slower than the other two CPUs, but it's still a very fast CPU. I have seen people testing these CPU's to the 7950x from AMD, which I do not have so I cant benchmark that for you.
Now I understand why people are comparing those 2, but there is a pretty big gap between the 14900k & 7950x3d still. Not only with the CPUs themselves, because you also need a motherboard that actually supports that 7950's speed.
So yes that CPU is still technically better, but that is up to you and the budget you have. The 14600 and 14700 take the lead with the midrange Ryzen CPUs though, and it really is nice to see a bump for the midrange line up.
I personally like Intel because of the features they have for content creators & influencers such as myself, and or people working from home. OBS Studio for recording and streaming, Video Editors, Photo Editors, All the new AI releasing, 3D Applications, all the Microsoft applications for working from home, etc. AMD is still aimed at gamers, with the exception of the Ryzen 9 processors, and thosen are absolutely great as well. It is nice to have competition between the 2. But until AMD offers more stuff for the creative side of stuff
So, which CPU is the best? It comes down to you and what you are looking for. The 14900, just like any other i9, really comes down to just simply having the best of the best and having bragging rights. The i7 has always been the go to as far as my builds go, that is what most people want me to use in the computers I build, which is totally understandable. The i5 is a great CPU as well and you wouldnt be upset with getting any of these. But yes as with any time intel releases new stuff, the i9 is the best, i7 2nd best, i5 3rd.
