Trump shooting: US Secret Service under scrutiny for security lapses at rally

The U.S. Secret Service is facing intense scrutiny over the apparent security lapse at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania.

In the wake of the attack, attendees at the rally told reporters that they had warned agents about a man with a rifle on a nearby roof. The Associated Press also reported that a local officer encountered the shooter before the attack, who then allegedly pointed his weapon at the officer.

The Secret Service denies any resources were held back but are now expected to add additional resources to counter any further violence.
