Richmond County, NC Historical Sites & Museums

Richmond County has three amazing museums (Discovery Place Kids- Rockingham, Hamlet Depot & Museums, and the Rankin Museum in Ellerbe). Additionally, there are several historical sites in the county. Town Creek Indian Mound is on the outskirts of the Richmond County and Montgomery County line.
