Tissue Paper Art for Kids

If you’re looking for new ways to get creative with colour with your little ones, Council officer Melissa is back to show you a fun technique to try at home that’s easy for all abilities and ages to get stuck into, tissue paper art! Melissa has put together two fun projects designed to spark their imaginations and busy their hands – tissue paper collage animals and tissue paper transfer art.

This activity is designed for pre-school aged children but can be modified for older kids as well.

EQUIPMENT FOR COLLAGE ANIMALS:
o Tissue paper – assorted colours
o Paper cardstock
o Glue
o Googly eyes

EQUIPMENT FOR TRANSFER ART:
o Bleeding tissue paper – assorted colours (needed only for the transfer art project)
o Water spray bottle
o Canvas (size of your choice) or paper cardstock
