Does it sometimes cross your mind on how we can end this cycle of birth and death? Why does this karmic cycle seem never-ending and keeps bringing us back to the karmic plane? This question was asked by someone to Om Swami - He gave a deeply insightful answer.

Om Swami said, till the time one doesn’t have Vairagya (Detachment), the karmic cycle will not end. If you don’t have Vairagya, you’ll deal with selfish desires, desires create attachment, attachment is the source of ignorance and with this ego appears. Ego is the root of all our suffering. Om Swami has explained Vairagya in his discourses on the Bhaj Govindam series as well.
