Thorpe Park in the Early 1980s

Back in the days before Colossus, Stealth and Saw, Thorpe Park opened in 1979 as an "adventure in leisure".  This vintage Super 8mm cine film will take you on a tour of Model World and the Invaders of Britain exhibition before boarding one of the water buses for a trip past the Mountbatten Pavilion to reach the World War I Airfield.  

Thorpe park celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.  It's changed quite a bit in the last two decades, hasn't it?!
