A SmartArt diagram is a
A SmartArt diagram is a graphical way of presenting information in a PowerPoint, Word, or Excel. You can use a SmartArt diagram to show relationships, processes, hierarchies, cycles, or lists. To add a list into a SmartArt diagram, you need to follow these steps:
1. On the Insert tab, click SmartArt in the Illustrations group.
2. In the Choose a SmartArt Graphic dialog box, select a layout that suits your list type. For example, you can choose a List, Process, Hierarchy, or Cycle layout.
3. Click OK to insert the smartart diagram on your slide.
4. To add text to your smartart diagram, click on the placeholder text and type your own text. You can also use the Text pane on the left side of the slide to enter and edit your text. In this video copy and paste is used to add the text.
5. To create a hierarchy use the tab key to move down a level or shift tab to ove up a level.
6. To add more items to your list, you can either click on the small arrows on the border of the SmartArt diagram to add a shape before or after the selected shape, or you can press Enter in the Text pane to create a new bullet point.
7. To format your SmartArt diagram, you can use the SmartArt Tools tabs on the ribbon. You can change the colour, style, layout, and effects of your SmartArt diagram using the options in the Design and Format tabs.
