Ford SVT Mustang Cobra was an American muscle car built between the years 1993 and 2004. The rear suspension used in this car is an Independent Rear Suspension or IRS. The working and the features of the IRS are similar to Independent front suspension.

Independent Rear Suspension is of major three types. The Long Leaf Spring Rear End Suspension, Transverse Leaf Spring Rear End Suspension, and Coil Spring Rear End Suspension. Other than these types, there are some more on the list. They are Parallel link system, Swinging arm type, and Swinging half axles.

In this video, we will briefly discuss each type of suspension and talk about the advantages and disadvantages of Independent Rear Suspension.
