Various trains & various locations on the WCML filmed back in the good old days of 2003 and 2004. When Pendolino's were very new and fairly rare and only has 8 coaches, 87's/90's/86's/HST's and lets not forget 321's ruled the WCML routes from Euston. Voyagers had only recently been introduced on Cross Country routes. The voyager seen arriving at Coventry, was the first Voyager I'd had ever seen!!! Running almost an hour late to Bournemouth.
Notice how some of the stations has changed so much, Milton Keynes for example, there is no sign what so ever of platform 6, platform 2 was the southbound slow, line where as today its platform 1, and platform 1 was just a terminating bay!
London Midland did not excist at all, it was known as Silverlink Country and 350 desiro's hadn't even been invented... So 321's were used all the way from London to Birmingham :)
Some of the filming is pretty poor I must say, it was done by my dad and some of it by me when I was about 8. Also you can here us talking at a few points but I tried to cut those sections out.
THINGS TO REALLY LOOK OUT FOR:
0:17 = Pendolino only has 8 coaches (so do all the pendolinos in this video)
0:34 = Pantographs are sparking just because it was a frosty morning.
3:40 = Failed DVT being pulled by the 90
4:19 = Virgin class 47 waiting on Thunderbird duty at Rugby
8:02 = *LISTEN* my dad calls a silverlink a "SilverJunk" LOL :P
9:55 = First Voyager I had ever seen!
11:06 = That is the fastest I have ever seen a train go through Birmingham International, still to this day...
12:00 = Very strange DVT, facing backwards being pushed by 87
12:50 = Nice class 87 crossover in the platforms
13:36 = Yet another stopping Virgin, this is before the introduction of Clock Face timetable.

Thanks for Watching!!!
