Ingredients:
Wheat flour – 1½
Ingredients:
Wheat flour – 1½ cup
Carrot
Beans
Green chilly
Onion – 1 small
Ginger – 1 small piece
Tomato – ½
Grated coconut – ¾ cup
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Moong dal – 1 tsp
Salt
Oil
Steps:
Add salt to wheat flour and mix well.
Sprinkle some water and mix well. I used ¼ cup water.
Add 1½ cup water to a steamer.
Place the steamer plate and transfer the wet flour on to it.
Cover and steam it for 5 minutes on high flame.
Switch off and let it cool.
Pulse it in the mixie for a couple of seconds.
Heat oil in a wide pan.
Add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.
Add moong dal and fry till golden.
Add onion, green chillies and ginger.
When onion becomes soft, add carrot and beans.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Add tomato and mix well.
Add coconut and cooked wheat flour.
Sprinkle some water. I used ¼ cup water in batches.
Check the taste and add salt if needed.
Cook covered for 5 minutes on low flame.
Transfer to a serving bowl.
Enjoy the upma.
