This is from the pilot (first) episode of The O.C. where Sandy first meets Ryan by being his public defender after getting rounded up because of his brother Trey's carjacking. Sandy is at his finest here as he reaches out to a teen that needs help. Phantom Planet's "California" which becomes the memorable theme song to the series gets louder as Ryan travels from drab Chino to the bright O.C., and thus the series begins....
