Blue Eye Samurai Is Among The Best Series of 2023, It Is Very Powerful & Intense With Its Underlying Anti-colonization Themes & Also Revealing The Pathetic Situation of Women In 17th Century Japan. The Series Has Become A Hit, Loved By Many & Netflix Has Just Announced Season 2 Which Was Obvious Because of The Incomplete Story At The Climax of Season 1. The Fictional Story Featured The Times of Imperial Japan Ruled By The Tokugawa Shogunate, A Military Government Which Ruled From Early 1600’s For Almost 250 Years. This Was The Time When European Colonization Was At Its Peak, They Infiltrated Asia Under Disguise of Traders But Their Ulterior Motives Was To Bring Whole Japan Under British Rule. The Shogunate Banned The Entry of White Britishers Into Japan When These Ulterior Motives Were Exposed Still The Greed of The Rulers Deceived Them As They Allowed Some White Men To Stay In Japan Under Secrecy So That They Could Establish Private Trade With The West, Abijah Fowler Was Among Such Westerner, Secretly Living In Japan, Biding His Time, Plotting To Overthrow The Shogunate Empire By Using The Advanced Technology of Long Range European Guns. During These Time The Condition of Women Was Brutally Pathetic, They Were Predominantly The Subject of Trade For Political Marriages, Others Were Forced Into Rampant Flesh Trade, Some of These Women Were Sold As Girls By Their Parents To Flesh Traders While Some Were Forcefully Abducted. These Japanese People Didn’t Liked The White Skinned Europeans, They Are Perceived As Blue Eye Demons, The Bringers of Bad Luck. Some of These Westerners Purchase Women From Brothels, Sometimes They Abduct Them By Force & The Progeny Thus Born of Such Incidents Are Referred As Half Breed Blue Eye Demons. Mizu Was Among Such A Child, A Half-Breed Blue Eyed Unfortunate One, Rejected By Society, Tortured & Brutalized During Childhood, Lurking In Shadows, Eating From Garbage. Mizu Somehow Took Refuge Under A Blind Master Sword-maker Eiji, Mizu Learnt The Art of Sword-making And Also Started Learning About Samurai Secret Arts of Swordsmanship. Eventually Upon Growing-up With The Raging Fire of Vengeance Inside, Mizu Took A Journey To Find & Kill The 4 Britishers Who Were Responsible For The Assault Against His Mother, One of Them Is His Father, Abijah Fawler Was One Among The Four. Mizu Is Like A Force of Nature, A Very Skilled Swordman, Un-relentless, Un-forgiving, Hell-bent On Finding Abijah Fowler & Then To Kill Him. In His Journey He Crossed Path With Ringo, He Took Him As His Student, He Fought & Beat Taigen, One of Best Swordman, Ironically Taigen Is Somehow Related To The Tormenting Childhood of Mizu. Upon Defeat Taigen Followed Mizu To Take His Revenge In A Honourable Fight But Eventually They Become Friends Against The Bigger Common Enemy. Taigen Left Behind Akemi, A Princess Who Wants To Marry Him To Evade The Unfortunate & Horrible Marriage Proposals His Father Is Trying To Force On Her, Akemi Followed Mizu & Taigen In Their Journey As She Was Truly In Love With Taigen. The Interconnected Spiralling Sub-plots of Mizu, Taigen, Ringo & Akemi Eventually Came Together When They Faced Abijah Fowler & His Army of Marksmen To Protect The Heart of Japan. Mizu Who Just Knew Revenge & Violence Learns Something About Honour & Friendship, From Being Selfish & Stubborn, Mizu Accepts His Fate But His Unquenching Thirst To Kill Abijah & His Gang Takes His Journey Towards Britain In The End of Season 1. The Story Is So Epic & Adventurous It Create Goosebumps, 17th Century Japan Is Captured From Both Sides, As The Honourable One As Well As Its Evil Side, Brilliantly Imagined With Artistic Portrayal, Very Good Voice Acting With Bone Chilling Action Full of Gore And Violence. A Must Watch.
