Sky News presenter Cheng Lei has met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra.
It’s the first time Ms Cheng and the Prime Minister have met in person since her release from detention in China.
They reflected on the day she finally touched down in Melbourne after three years of imprisonment.
She thanked Mr Albanese for the government’s tireless work to have her released.
The journalist also gave the Prime Minister a Chinese calligraphy poem she made with her family.
