In run-up to polls, Firozabad’s dying bangle industry is taking centre stage, with candidates promising to resolve industry problems. But there are no quick fixes on the ground.  Known as ‘kaanch nagari’ (glass city) and ‘suhag nagar’, the small industrial town in western Uttar Pradesh is facing a major challenge — its 200-year-old glass bangle industry, once its pride, now appears to be on its last legs.
