This decadent cake with creamy dulce de leche filling is your tastebud's dream come true. An Argentine classic to accompany your mates!
Recipe
INGREDIENTS
For the Dough:
1 cup Sugar
1 stick Butter
2 Egg Yolks
1/3 cup Sweet White Wine
1/3 cup Cornstarch
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
For the Filling:
2 tbsp. Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 cup Grated Coconut
1 cup Milk
1 1/2 cup Dulce de Leche
DIRECTIONS
1. Put the sugar and the soften butter in a bowl. Add the egg yolks, wine and sifted flour with the salt, the cornstarch and the baking powder. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes in the fridge.
2. Combine the ingredients for the filling, slowly incorporating the eggs and milk.
3. Layer a buttered mold with the dough, dulce de leche and the filling on top.
4. Bake at 350°F for 45 mins. to 1 hr., until the filling is firm.
