Aren’t You Glad You’re You? (Van Heusen-Burke) by Bing Crosby, orchestra conducted by John Scott Trotter

Reprising his award-winning “Going My Way” role of Father O’Malley in the film “The Bells Of St. Mary’s” (co-starring Ingrid Bergman), Bing sings another of those positive-thinking Burke & Van Heusen tunes along the lines of their previous Oscar-winner “Swinging On A Star.”  “Aren’t You Glad You’re You” was a #13 juke box side in January, one of six Crosby hits in this 1946 archive.

THE 1946 HITS ARCHIVE - a collection of commercial recordings and songs that proved popular during the calendar year 1946 (some were recorded in 1945) via sales, sheet music, radio exposure, and juke box play.…plus some others that have gained increased recognition or have been shown to have had an impact during the decades that followed. .
