Drainage is the natural or artificial removal of a surface's water and sub-surface water from an area with excess of water. A dendritic drainage pattern is the most common form and looks like the branching pattern of tree roots. The Indus Waters Treaty is a water-distribution treaty between India and Pakistan, brokered by the World Bank, to use the water available in the Indus River and its tributaries.
