Cave Hill for generations has been synonymous with Belfast, with its imposing outline visible throughout the city.
As one of the most famous landmarks of the city, it is named for the five caves located on the side of the cliffs. In the surrounding area, you can experience natural, archaeological and historical features, including Belfast Castle.
Its most famous feature, known locally as Napoleon's Nose, is believed to have been the inspiration for Jonathan Swift's novel, Gulliver's Travels.
The Cave Hill Trail that you can find in Cave Hill Country Park is a challenging route, over unsurfaced paths, past the caves to McArt’s Fort, and crossing moorland, heath and meadows.
It draws both locals and visitors due to it's archaeological sites, wildlife and stunning panoramic views.
