Lewis Goodall speaks to Rosie Duffield, who resigned the Labour whip on Saturday over 'party sleaze becoming too much'.

On resigning, she says, ‘I tried my best to stay, I didn’t want to leave. I just can’t believe this is the Labour government. I’ve been trying to fight from the inside for 7 years, I’m done.'

She questioned why Keir Starmer is taking £32,000 in free clothes. 'It smacks of greed. We are meant to be the party of service.'

She claims the Prime Minister is 'not interested in backbenchers', adding 'he is only interested in power, it's his number one goal and now he’s achieved it.'

On Labour having a woman problem, Rosie Duffield said 'the decisions are made by the same bunch of young men. We all call them the lads. They've been the ones who have briefed against me and other women.'

She refused to quit as an MP because 'I haven’t changed my party or my principles. I’ve just stopped paying into the Labour party'
