Van Life Maui: Our weekend trial, was it worth it?

After getting to live on Maui for 3 months working, we decided to trial Van Life for a weekend and rented a Volkswagen Camper Van.  Initially our goal was to spend the day driving to Hana and camp overnight at Waiʻānapanapa State Park.

Things didn't turn out as we planned, but we made the most of it.  We might even consider trying this again in the future.
