Set in modern-day Hawaii, ‘Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.’ is a coming-of-age dra-medy which follows the life of Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager.  Matthew Sato plays the role of Kai, Lahela’s free-spirited older brother.

The new Disney+ series is a reboot inspired by the 1990’s hit medical series ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’
