It's ready! I have completed the first, second, and now the third disk of my four-disk project documenting the USA team at the International Medieval Combat Federation World Championships in 2018!
This is the largest, longest project of its type, featuring more American in more matches than have ever been assembled in one video project of the sport of full-contact medieval armored combat!
The sport has grown incredibly since the first appearance of the USA on the international scene in 2012. Nations that did not even have teams are now competing and winning at the top levels. New skills and new techniques have entered the game Deeds unthought of in the past are being accomplished every day. And the number of women in the sport is fast catching up to the number of men.
On day three both the men and women competed in the sword and shield singles category. Women's 3 vs. 3 was the melee category, and at the end there were "All vs. All" melees for women and for everyone. The Women's All vs. All wound up being an epic battle of the Old World vs. the New!
This project had been a labor of love and passion and has been achieved despite obstacles, losses, hardships, and all manner of difficulties. But despite everything, this production succeeds in putting you in the middle of the action at Scone Palace, Scotland, as the USA fights for the gold. With every match presented, with every interview, you will come to know and cheer for these American Knights!
