Because we are non-dual, not two, whatever we reject creates a ripple effect and we feel resistance accordingly. Your emotions guide your thoughts, and let you know when you think a thought that perpetuates a separate self. In non-duality and spirituality it's easy to get lost in ideals, morals and a kind of religious view where we turn our idea of what a separate self is into a mental framework. Your emotions is having none of this. Your feeling is what keeps you honest and on track. We sometimes rebel against this entire system by resisting suffering and trying to get rid of suffering. When it is understood that suffering is a sign of your guidance system working perfectly, the same way your digestion or circulation is, we can finally take advantage of this real time wisdom and work with it rather than against it.
The making of this video was enormously helpful to me, and a follow up video of some kind will be coming later. I would like to talk about this topic more thoroughly and clearly in the future, and if you have any questions please ask below.
