I have played different styles of music from traditional carnatic to film-pop. However something that I've always leaned towards is to explore the idea of propping up our beautiful classical music against various genres like pop, rock, jazz etc. So here is a song from my band IndoSoul by Karthick Iyer. We have played Thyagaraja's krithi Manavyala in the raga Nalinakanthi.
ABOUT INDOSOUL
indoSoul - a collaboration of musicians from different musical cultures - showcases Indian music in a never seen before global format. While working with diverse artists from across the world in concerts and festivals across Asia, Europe, Australia and North America, Karthick's search for his own inner music led him to start this band.
