China’s first Universal Studios Resort is set to open on September 1, 2021, with invited guests the first batch of visitors to be welcomed at the soft launch. The 50 billion yuan (US$7.7 billion) resort is the world’s largest Universal Studios. It had been due to open in May, but the official launch was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
