How to remove CV Axle stuck in hub

I was doing a cv axle swap but the axle was stuck in the hub. Usually a few whacks of the mallet would free it but I had to resort to using a 2/3 puller that made quick work of it. Autozone loans the puller at no charge. My mallet redeemed itself departing the axle from the intermediate shaft.
