Welcome to my guide to winning the Clubman Cup Plus Race around Goodwood Full Course for Gran Turismo 7
PATCH 1.26 UPDATE: To meet the updated PP (Performance Points) requirements, i put on a Fully Customisable ECU and changed the output adjustment to 87%, everything else is the same.
Some people are also claiming that Nitrous is now prohibited for this event but I tested this and found that not to be true, heres proof - Video. Recorded on Patch 1.26
The race itself is very straight forward, its a one make race using the Mini - Cooper ’S’ 65.
The catch is you have to tune it to 350 PP Level. Below I go into detail of what to buy in GT Auto and what to change in the tuning menu.
Things to buy for the Mini from the Tuning Shop:
Sports Hard Tyres
Ballast
Power Restrictor
Fully Customisable Manual Transmission
Sports Air Filter
Sports Silencer
Bore Up
High Lift Camshaft
High Compression Pistons
Weight Reduction 1 & 2
Nitrous
Things you need to change in the Tuning Menu:
Ballast - 120
Ballast Positioning - 50
Power Restrictor - 81
I reduce the gear ratios a bit, you will find the exact numbers I used in the Car Setup section of the video.
Nitrous Output Adjustment - 100%
As for the Race Strategy, the car is quite fast and decent around corners, only use the Nitrous when the car is completely straight or you might spin out.
With this strategy and car setup I won by almost 20 Seconds so you could definitely try the setup without Nitrous, its up to you.
Keep the car as stable as possible through the corners, the mini can be a little unstable at times but the Goodwood Circuit is pretty easy.
The difficulty of the AI for this race was set to Intermediate so I am not sure whether the strategy will work for the harder difficulty but if it doesn’t let me know in the comments below and I will do my best to give you some advice.
