Filmed during the annual 24-hour endurance race at Le Mans, France, this somewhat forgotten classic starring Steve McQueen plunges into the heart of one of the most intense and dangerous motorsport events in the world.

Pushing the boundaries of filming and editing, director Lee H. Katzin introduced groundbreaking techniques that set new standards for realism in racing films.

The film has always been somewhat hypnotic for me…the minimal storyline focuses mainly on Porsche driver Michael Delaney's race-long rivalry with his Ferrari-driving opponent. But amidst the roaring engines and screeching tires are these little vignettes and glimpses into the human drama unfolding both on and off the track. It’s those slices of realism that have always stuck with me, and something I wanted to capture with this teaser while also reflecting the race’s atmosphere and adrenaline as faithfully as possible.
