USDA Forest Service - Prescribed Fire

USDA Forest Service, Savannah River, uses prescribed fire to help manage the natural resources on over 170,000 acres at SRS. Prescribed burns help reduce wildfire fuels and control the growth of underbrush and hardwoods that can encroach on high value timber plantations.
