Making Phenylhydrazine (Skatole precursor)

In this video I make some phenylhydrazine HCl from aniline. I will hopefully be using it to make skatole in the future.

This is one of the final synthetic steps from sodium benzoate -- benzene -- nitrobenzene -- aniline -- phenylhydrazine -- skatole.
